Miguel Berg is a 1st generation Colombian-American film and television executive and producer whose career spans over 15 years across development, production, marketing, sports, and international co-production. A graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where he earned his MFA in Film and Television Producing, he is bilingual and bicultural — operating with deep fluency across both the US market and Latin America — and brings that creative foundation to every stage of the content lifecycle.

His studio career includes development and production roles at NBCUniversal and Warner Bros., where he worked directly alongside C-suite and senior development executive leadership, the heads of Scripted and Unscripted programming, respectively. His credits span Emmy-nominated drama and comedy series including Special (Netflix), Two Sentence Horror Stories (CW/Netflix), This Is Us, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Shades of Blue, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors, Taken, and Superstore — a body of work reflecting deep fluency across scripted drama and comedy, pilot development, and studio operations.

As Head of Development at Gamechanger Films, Miguel operated at the intersection of independent film and commercial dealmaking. He closed a seven-figure branded entertainment deal with a major consumer brand and its global agency partner for a hybrid feature documentary on climate justice, and developed Pale Horse, the first feature from Academy Award-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe. He also supported the theatrical releases of The Inspection (A24, Golden Globe-nominated), Passing (Netflix), and Run Sweetheart Run (Amazon), deepening his fluency in awards strategy and the independent film market.

Most recently, Miguel served as VP of Development & Acquisitions at an independent Hollywood comedy studio, where he led a full slate of 25+ active projects across features, series, animation, and specials — managing A-list talent, agency, and writer relationships while designing the studio’s greenlight process from the ground up. His career now spans scripted drama and elevated comedy, with pilot development experience across broadcast, cable, streaming, and independent platforms.

Miguel has also served as Executive Consultant for an International Emmy Award-winning transmedia entertainment marketing agency, Mood Hunter, leading the expansion of their footprint across the US and Canada and representing the company at Time Magazine Latino Leaders and Bloomberg Screentime.

Miguel’s impact extends well beyond the studio system. He founded the Greenville International Film Festival, which united filmmakers from over 70 countries and established a meaningful platform for global cinematic exchange. He helped preserve film production incentives in South Carolina and catalyze them in Colombia through direct engagement with government and industry leaders on both continents — translating creative momentum into economic infrastructure across multiple markets. He has served on Academy Award qualifying festival juries and advisory panels at USC, Chapman University, NALIP, LALIFF, and Netflix, investing in the next generation of diverse filmmakers throughout his career.

Today, Miguel is the Founder and CEO of Bravoecho Entertainment, an independent studio developing a premium slate of culturally resonant films and series targeting US, LATAM, and European markets. Guided by the ECHO Framework — ***Elevate, Create, Honor, Original*** — Bravoecho is built on a belief that the most powerful stories are specific enough to feel true and universal enough to travel. The studio does not produce content defined by ethnicity or stereotype; it produces premium storytelling for global mainstream audiences.

A 3x USA Triathlon National Championship qualifier and finisher, Miguel approaches both competition and creative work with the same philosophy: sustained effort, strategic pacing, and the conviction that endurance is itself a form of excellence.
